About Mercyhealth

Mercyhealth is a not-for-profit, vertically integrated, multi-specialty health system serving more than 2.4 million individuals throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois each year.

Our care spans four core service areas: hospital-based services (level I and level II emergency/trauma centers, level III neonatal intensive care unit, level III perinatal center, rehabilitation hospital and two critical access hospitals), clinic-based services, post-acute care and retail services, and a wholly owned and operated insurance company.

These four core service areas make up our comprehensive, vertically integrated delivery system, and integrated delivery is what makes Mercyhealth unique in serving the full range of health care needs for patients through one continuum of care. We have operated as a virtual Accountable Care Organization (ACO) for decades, and have developed an advanced employed physician partnership model and clinical protocols of care that position us for future success under the ACO model of care.
